Installation & Reveal

How Matte Aluminium Mercury PPF is prepped, applied, and finished on a Cayenne.

Matte Aluminium Mercury on Cayenne
01

Surface Prep

Panels are decontaminated and measured. The Cayenne’s body panels give the film a clean, even base to bond to.

02

Film Application

Medium difficulty. Controlled stretch around corners, mirror bases and edges keeps gloss uniform with no optical distortion.

03

Post-Heat & Edges

A final edge inspection after post-heating; the film is allowed to stabilize before delivery.

Why Choose Matte Aluminium Mercury

Finish Character
The Matte topcoat adds clarity and depth, brightest under direct light.
How It Reads
The specular depth fuses separate panels into one reflection, which is why it makes almost any car look lower and longer.
On the Cayenne
the Cayenne’s body lines are where conformability needs post-heat, not where the colour fails. The Matte Aluminium Mercury film rewards that surfacing instead of fighting it.
Living With It
A gloss or metallic topcoat shows dust sooner than matte but wipes clean easily, and the self-healing layer relaxes minor marks with a little warmth.

Styling & Pairing

Wheels
Satin Black

Satin Black is the recommended wheel finish because it creates clean contrast with Matte Aluminium Mercury and helps the body color remain the visual focus. Satin black, gunmetal, or silver may also work depending on the desired level of contrast.

Window Tint
20% Ceramic

20% Ceramic balances privacy, heat rejection, and exterior contrast without overpowering the body colour. Lighter tint preserves a more open, factory-like appearance, while darker tint creates a more aggressive presentation.

Brake Calipers
Recommended

Red, yellow, blue, black, or silver. These choices provide clear visual separation without competing with the film. Avoid overly complex multi-color graphics, which can make the overall color combination look uncoordinated.

Interior
Best matches

Black, white, gray, tan, or red-accent interiors. Neutral interiors keep the exterior color sophisticated, while a carefully chosen contrasting interior can strengthen the vehicle's personality.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Cayenne years and trims can PALTRIX Matte Aluminium Mercury PPF be applied to?+
PALTRIX TPU PPF is precision pre-cut to fit your Cayenne exactly — every panel, sensor cutout and badge outline is mapped, so installation is clean with no trimming required.
Will Matte Aluminium Mercury PPF change the original color or finish of my Cayenne?+
No. Color PPF is a transparent protective layer tinted with your chosen shade — it adds the new color or finish on top of the factory paint without altering it. If you ever remove the film, the original paint stays untouched.
How durable is PALTRIX Matte Aluminium Mercury TPU PPF on a Cayenne?+
It is built on 7.5-mil self-healing TPU with a hydrophobic top coat and UV stabilizers, backed by a 10-year warranty. It resists rock chips, swirl marks, bird droppings and fading far better than vinyl wraps or ceramic coating alone.
Can I preview how Matte Aluminium Mercury looks on my Cayenne before ordering?+
Yes. This page shows Matte Aluminium Mercury on the Cayenne in 8 studio angles, multiple lighting conditions, and real-life scenes. You can also request a physical swatch or a custom render on your exact configuration before you commit.
Does Matte Aluminium Mercury PPF affect Cayenne sensors, cameras or driver-assistance hardware?+
No. Kits are pre-cut around sensor housings, camera lenses, door handles and charge ports, so all hardware and driver-assistance features remain fully functional. Only certified installers should handle the area around forward radar and cameras.
How do I care for and maintain Matte Aluminium Mercury PPF on my Cayenne?+
Hand-wash with pH-neutral shampoo and a soft mitt; avoid abrasive brushes and automatic tunnels. Light swirls self-heal under sunlight or warm water, and a ceramic topper can extend hydrophobic performance.

Care

Maintenance & Care

Simple habits that keep Matte Aluminium Mercury looking its best for years on your Cayenne.

Wash Matte Aluminium Mercury regularly with a pH-neutral automotive shampoo and clean microfiber tools. Rinse loose dirt before contact washing, avoid abrasive brushes and strong solvents, and remove contaminants promptly.

Wash Gently

Use a pH-neutral shampoo and the two-bucket method. Avoid abrasive brushes that can dull the top coat.

Self-Healing

Light swirls and marks fade with warm water or sunlight as the TPU top coat resettles — no polish required.

Skip Harsh Chemicals

Keep solvents, petroleum-based dressings, and strong degreasers away from the film surface.

Protect From Heat

Park in shade when possible. Prolonged, intense heat can stress edges and seams over time.

Edge Inspection

Check wrapped edges after winter or off-road use; a certified installer can reseat any lifting section.

Annual Check

A yearly detail review keeps the finish and hydrophobic behavior at their best between installations.
